The Seafarer's  Pension Fund (MEK) is an authorised pension provider that handles statutory earnings-related pension provision for seafarers. The Seafarer's  Pension Fund awards and pays seafarer earnings-related pensions under the Seafarer's  Pensions Act (MEL).
