Payment of part-time pension
You should transfer to part-time work at the beginning of the calendar month, whereupon your part-time pension starts at the same time. The Seafarer’s Pension Fund pays the pension on the last banking day of the month.
We pay your part-time pension for as long as your part-time work continues. We discontinue payment if
- your earnings do not remain within the 35–70% limit
- you return to full-time employment
- you are absent from work for more than 6 weeks (excluding unpaid off duty time included in the system of rotation under the part-time employment contract, leave to compensate for hours worked, annual and sick leaves)
- the job ends altogether
You can return to a part-time pension if the part-time work is interrupted for no longer than 6 months. If the interruption lasts for more than 6 months, a new part-time pension may only be awarded after a 12-month period of full-time employment.
