General information
What is a pension record?

The pension record is a list of your earnings and other benefits from which your pension accrues. It will be sent to you by post to your registered address at the end of September. The record is sent by the pension insurance provider that insured your last earnings in the private sector.

The pension record lists all of your employment contracts in the private sector and any possible entrepreneurial activities up to the end of last year. The information for this year will be shown in next year’s pension record. The record also shows information about benefits for unpaid periods from which pension accrues. The pension record does not include the insured person’s employment abroad.

The list briefly mentions State, municipal and other public sector employment contracts.

Further information about the latter is available at:

Pension estimate

Your pension record also shows you an estimate of your accrued pension.

You can estimate the amount of your future pension with the Seafarer’s Pension Fund Pension Calculator.

As a client of the Seafarer’s Pension Fund you can calculate the amount whenever you want with our electronic Pension Calculator.

Use our Loki online service to calculate the estimated amount of your old-age pension or early old-age pension. Using the pension calculator is an easy way to calculate and compare, for instance, the amount by which your pension will be affected if you retire at the age of 63 or when you are 65 years old.

The service is intended for people less than 68 years of age who are insured with the Seafarer’s Pension Fund, who have not yet retired, and who have worked in employment insured under earnings-related pension legislation.
