Who receives a pension record?
Everyone living in Finland aged between 18 and 67 and who is or has been an employee in the private sector or an entrepreneur receives a pension record annually.
Different authorised pension providers send pension records to their insured members at slightly different times. Therefore, it is possible that you will receive your record in a different month than members of your family, relatives or neighbours. The Seafarer’s Pension Fund sends the records at the end of September.
Not quite everyone receives a pension record
You will not be sent a record if you have only worked for an employer in the public sector (State, municipality, Evangelical Lutheran Church, Kela or the Bank of Finland) and you have never been self-employed, an agricultural entrepreneur or worked for a private sector employer. Retired people (except for part-time pensioners) and those who live abroad also do not receive a pension record.
