Pension recipient’s duty to notify
Whenever necessary, the Seafarer’s Pension Fund can request you to send an explanation that you still fulfil the requirements for receiving a pension. The Pension Fund can suspend payment of your pension if you do not provide it with the explanation it has requested within the specified reasonable period. If you receive any of the following pensions, you must on your own initiative notify us about the matters explained under the links:
Earnings limits
Earnings limits for gainful employment are set for all types of pension except old-age pension and early old-age pension; you must on your own initiative notify the pension provider if you exceed these limits. If you forget to notify us about exceeding earnings limits, you may have to repay the pension to which you were not entitled.
