Accessibility statement
The Seafarers’ Pension Fund aims to ensure the accessibility of its website in accordance with the Act on the Provision of Digital Services (306/2019). The goal of accessibility is to enable as many people as possible to use the website and understand its content, regardless of any functional limitations.
This accessibility statement applies to the website www.seafarerspensionfund.fi.
Compliance status
The website largely meets the accessibility requirements. The accessibility requirements are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, levels A and AA.
Accessibility is taken into account in the design, development and maintenance of the website. The accessibility of the website is assessed, and identified accessibility issues are addressed as part of the website’s development.
Non-accessible content
Accessibility issues have been identified in the text alternatives for some images, the accessible names of links and the contrast of some text. These issues may make it more difficult to perceive content and use the website.
The issues concern the following WCAG 2.1 success criteria: 1.1.1 Non-text Content, 1.4.3 Contrast (Minimum), 2.4.4 Link Purpose (In Context) and 4.1.2 Name, Role, Value.
We will address the identified accessibility issues in 2026.
Content not covered by the accessibility requirements
The Well-being and rehabilitation section of the website contains PDF files produced and published by third parties, some of which are not accessible. The files were published before 23 September 2018 and are not covered by the accessibility requirements.
If a file you need is not accessible, you can ask us to provide the information it contains in an accessible format.
