Pension record

The earnings-related pension record includes information on all your income that has accrued pension so far.

The earnings-related pension record is sent to everyone whose most recent employment has been insured with the Seafarer’s Pension Fund. According to the law, the paper record must show pensionable earnings for the six years preceding the year the record is issued. Therefore, older private sector employment data has been omitted, as it is not required to be shown, but it has been included in the calculation of the estimated total pension amount.

The electronic pension record includes your entire work history insured in Finland. You can find the up-to-date pension record in the Seafarer’s Pension Fund’s Loki service (in finnish and swedish).  The electronic record also includes earnings information from the current year, if it has already been registered.

Check the following on your record:

  • your retirement age
  • information about your accrued pension
  • an estimate of your future pension amount
  • details of your employment and unpaid periods.

If you are already retired, you will not receive a pension record. The same information is included in the pension calculation provided with your pension decision.

Information on work abroad is not included in the pension record. Details of any pension earned abroad can be requested directly from the pension authority of the relevant country.

The Seafarer’s Pension Fund will send out the next pension records during the spring of 2025.

  • What is a pension record?

The earnings and benefits you receive throughout your working life are entered in your pension record. According to the law, a paper version of the pension record only shows the six years preceding the year in which the pension record was issued.

he electronic version also contains earnings from the current year if the data has been registered in time. As a result, the private sector employment pension record is not required to show the early years, although the earnings have been included in the estimated total pension amount.

Check your pension record via the Loki on line service.

  • I have worked abroad. Are these details included in the pension record?
Information on work abroad is not included in the pension record. Details of any pension earned abroad can be requested directly from the pension authority of the relevant country.
  • Why didn’t I receive an earnings-related pension record?

If you are already retired, you will not receive a pension record. The same information is included in the pension calculation provided with your pension decision.

If you have worked while receiving a pension (old-age pension, partial early old-age pension, disability pension), you can request a separate estimate of your old-age pension from the Seafarer's Pension Fund’s pension advisory service via Loki-service.

You will not receive a pension record if your official address is missing from the Seafarer's Pension Fund's records.

  • Where is my complete work history?

According to the law, the printed pension record must show the earnings entitling you to a pension from the six years preceding the year the record is issued. Older employment relationships have been omitted because they are not required to be shown, although they are included in the calculation of your estimated total pension and retirement age.

You can view your complete work history on the electronic pension record available in the Loki service.

  • My pension record is missing earnings I have received or the information is incorrect

If the earnings are from 2019 or later:

Please contact your employer. Employers are obligated to report this information to the Incomes Register. Once reported, the information will be updated on your pension record.

If the earnings are from before 2019:

If the earnings information to be corrected is more than six years old, we require a written explanation as an attachment to the correction request—for example, a certificate of employment and documentation of the salary amount.
