Learn more about the upgraded Loki online service

The Seafarers’ Pension Fund has upgraded its Loki online service (available only in Finnish and Swedish) intended for seafarers. As before, personal online Finnish banking codes are used for logging in to the Loki service. Take an eco-action and change over to using e-services to handle your matters! Among those who choose e-services between 1 January and 30 June 2022, we will raffle off four cruise vouchers worth 200 euro each (Eckerö Line, Tallink Silja, Viking Line and Wasaline) as well as consolation prizes.
The online services were upgraded as part of the Pension Fund’s pension system renewal project. Taken into use on 10 January 2022, the new pension system brings about changes that will streamline the pension processing and diversify our customer service. Later this year, some more system functionalities will be implemented to further facilitate the pension decision process.
Those seafarers who choose e-services will have their pension decisions and related attachments delivered to the Loki online service, and simultaneously, an e-mail concerning the matter is sent to the address saved in our register. Those who decide not to choose e-services will have their decisions and related attachments mailed to them through the iPost service of Posti. If a customer has Posti’s electronic mailbox in use, that’s where the decision with attachments will land.
Electronic pension applications, for all other pension categories except for survivors’ pensions, is another new feature in the Loki service. Later this year, it will become possible to submit an application for survivors’ pension through the Loki service as well. The Loki online service provides an easy and fast method for submitting an application for pension in a data secure manner. The electronic application will be automatically saved in the Pension Fund’s pension system. This will accelerate the processing of the application and reduce the number of manual phases. We encourage our customers to make use of the electronic pension applications of the Loki service. It will also cut the costs charged by Kela from the Pension Fund for those pension applications that have first been submitted to Kela and from there forwarded to the Seafarers’ Pension Fund. Our Pension Advice personnel are happy to assist in any problems related to the completion of the application.
The pension calculator and pension record have also been renewed. The pension calculator is based on the amount of pension accrued by the end of the year preceding the current year. The amount is shown in the calculator view. The calculator gives an estimate of the amount of the future pension at the lowest possible retirement age for old-age pension, at the target retirement age and at the age of 70 years. The pension record shows all earnings that have accrued pension as well as any unpaid periods of time. The pension record can be viewed on screen, printed out and saved on a personal computer.
Booking requests for Ylläs cottages can also be submitted through the Loki online service. It is possible to submit a booking request for the currently available weeks as presented online. We recommend that you submit several optional booking requests, especially for the following periods: winter holiday, Easter, Christmas, New Year and the spring season in general. The Pension Fund will review the booking requests after the final submission date. The cottage weeks are distributed as described online. We will contact those seafarers to whom a cottage week is offered for rental. Other booking requests are placed in queue.
‘My details’ section includes those personal details that saved in the customer register of the Seafarers’ Pension Fund. You can yourself add and update your phone number and e-mail address. In this section, you can make the choice to use the e-services, and also submit requests related to data protection and privacy. The ‘Messages’ mailbox offers a convenient channel for messaging and sending documents to the Pension Fund. Our responses will be saved in the message chain.
Our Pension Advice provides guidance and assistance in the use of the Loki online service on weekdays from 9–11 am and 2–3 pm by phone at +358 (0)10 633 990. At other times, you can leave a contact request and we will call you as soon as possible.
Go to the Loki online service and select the e-services as your primary choice. You will then be included in the raffle on 30 June 2022.
