Summer 2025 offers a wide range of maritime-themed events across Finland and Europe.

The Finnish Seamen’s Mission will celebrate its 150th anniversary with several exhibitions and events. Anniversary exhibitions will be held in Vaasa, Rauma, at the Maritime Centre Vellamo in Kotka, and at the Seamen’s Church in Vuosaari. Midsummer will be celebrated with festive gatherings in Hamburg, London, Berlin, and Rotterdam.

The Rauma Maritime Museum will feature a private, audiovisual exhibition titled Kuivalastialusten aikaan (“In the Era of Dry Cargo Ships”), showcasing the world of seafaring in the 1960s and 1970s – work life aboard, seafarers’ experiences, and the perspectives of their families. The exhibition will be open from July 4 to August 31.

Don’t forget the Baltic Sea Day initiated by the John Nurminen Foundation, taking place on August 28.
